The school boy went missing since March 21. The search for the boy ended yesterday evening when 2 workers working with the JPS found the body while doing clearing work at the river mouth near Teluk Intan. The irony is the 2 workers were from Chemor only 2km from where the school boy fell into the monsoon drain but are presently working in Teluk Intan. When the workers found the body, they immediately called and informed the police for further investigations.
Later the decomposed body was sent to the Teluk Intan Hospital for a full autopsy. The boy was found clothed in his school uniform which he’d been wearing on the day he fell into the monsoon drain.
Later the funeral arrangement was done in kg. Tawas, Ipoh.

Its a real sad news. Hope those previous sleeping councillors, sleeping engineers and the ex state exco learn something from this. Another life has lost due to their inefficient and slow action.
So, with the current rainy season, quick action should be taken to counter the flooding problem. Warning sign and barricade should be in placed to warn people where the monsoon drain is during flood.
