I am writing this email..because after the euphoria of winning Perak by the BR yesterday…I was stunned that to a point I had been cheated!!!!…because from news in the Star & NST today…that the new MB of Perak is from PAS?..If that is true…then I am utterly disgusted and angry that I have been sold!!!

Comment by ALLAN CHAN — March 9, 2008 @ 9:12 am

Dear YB Kula,

Congratulation on your successful GE. I hope you will serve the people with integrity and fulfill all the promises made during ceramah. Please also ensure that the local governments and government are represented by all races. Thank you and good luck.

from my blog: seals:DAP should take the seat of MB …can that seat be given to an INDIAN? This will place Opposition in bigger trust and confidence. Some thing that never happen and it made to happen in Malaysian history where a 2/3 was denied and DAP took control of 2 states and fall of Selangor and Kedah and an Indian MB for Perak for TSUNAMI that HINDRAF created.

Comment by seals — March 9, 2008 @ 4:23 pm

We shall send petition to Perak Sultan to accept a Non Malay C.M. from DAP or we want a PKR Malay to become Perak C.M.

Please do not support a PAS C.M. in Perak, it will be a disaster to DAP !! You must understand the reaction of the general public who have given you the votes. Didn’t LIm Kit Siang has been assuring we have nothing to do with PAS during his campaign?? Please do not make we fell like being cheated.

Another key reason is, if PAS become the next Perak C.M., wuld you think the 18 young DAP state assembly man can be contained? They will face tremendous pressure from thier supportes besides sedition from BN.

If 2 of them found themselves a reason to resign or quit DAP due to this issue ( which is going to be a heroic one), and the whole games will be overturned by the BN.

Trust me, the people of Perak would accept a Chinese CM as long as he can bring goods.

Make the history again. Convince PAS & the Perak Sultan. Made Perak Sultan and its people proud, made all Malaysian pround.

Don’t give up. Don’t violate voters’ trust. Don’t forget DAP’s ideology. Malaysia for all Malaysian.

Comment by Lim Thou Lai — March 9, 2008 @ 6:12 pm

We love you and support you!Welldone and congratulation! DAP boleh!God had answered our prayers! Praise the Lord Jesus God ! You are the best and work smart for a better Malaysia!the people need your help and good work inside Parliment!

Given that Lim Kit Siang has said that DAP has nothing to do with PAS, and that Anwar has repeatedly denounced race-based politics (thus PKR should not cite the state constitution as an excuse for recommending their Malay candidate for the post), the Perak MB post should be given to DAP. If DAP can’t even insist on this, they are no different from MCA and GERAKAN, who often say that they had to face up to the realities of race-based politics in Malaysia.

Comment by Lee — March 11, 2008 @ 6:18 am

The DAP must tread carefully with PKR and Pas. There is no way Perakans will accept a Pas MB. Perak is DAP country, and the post of MB rightfully belongs to the DAP. Perak has a progressive Ruler who can waive the constitutional stipulation, in the interests of democracy, justice and equity. It would be immoral for the DAP to abrogate its duty to the people of Perak by ‘allowing’ a Pas ADUN to be an MB. What the people want is for the Party, the DAP to continue to be the leading political force for a Malaysian Malaysia, the only right and appropriate model for this nation.

If DAP boycotts the Perak MB ceremony tomorrow, I will boycott your party in the next election.

Rakyat first, everything else second.

Comment by Jeevindra Kumar — March 12, 2008 @ 2:20 pm

If DAP boycotts the Perak MB choice, I will boycott your party in the next GE.

Rakyat first, your high faluting ideologies second. Understand?

Comment by Jeevindra Kumar — March 12, 2008 @ 2:22 pm

The DAP promised CHANGE, I voted for CHANGE… yet the same OLD politics is being played out in Perak. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get LKS to withdraw his statement on the Perak MB. We made a lot of progress on 8 March and we should not be regressing into racial politics. I am a 30-something Malaysian Chinese who thought he was voting for a new non-racial Malaysia. If DAP betrays the rakyat like this, you are no better than BN!

Comment by VotedForChange — March 12, 2008 @ 3:48 pm

YB,

Work on pulling in more Indians and Malays into DAP. Otherwise DAP which is seen as a Chinese party will fail in the next elections. You have to start now!

Perhaps now is the best time to get MIC and PPP and Gerakan members to join DAP. Move first before they join others.

YB,

We voted against BN. Not only for DAP but all parties. So work together and show BN and others what the DAP/PAS/and PKR coalition are capable of achieving. If not, this may be the last chance you will get.

Comment by lakshy — March 13, 2008 @ 3:49 am

congratulations. Pas shouldn’t be the mb. It has happened. Make sure the indians are not cheated again. I’m disappointed that only one councillor is an indian in penang. Is it going to be the same in selangor and perak. We need more representation. And look at what umno is doing. Demos. Please update your blog. This is our channel to know about the happenings.
